Bardahl Octane Booster is an easy-to-use petrol additive that increases the octane rating of petrol. It does not contain lead or aniline and will work in leaded orunleaded petrol. The problem
Many vehicles on the road today were designed to use petrol with octane ratingshigher than commonly available. When these vehicles use too low octane fuel,engine ‘knock’ occurs, warning motorists of poor fuel combustion, loss of power and potential engine damage.
Even in vehicles designed to run on lower octane petrol, after-run and engine ‘knock’ can occur, due to the build-up of deposits in the combustion chamber.
The action
Deposits in the combustion chamber, improper timing or too low an octane fuel are all causes of engine ‘knock’. Combustion chamber deposits can also result in after-run or continued combustion of petrol after the engine is shut down.
